SURREALSPEARE is the theme of our annual drama that was performed by 6th Semester. This drama was held at 6th July in Blu Plaza Mall. SURREALSPEARE is short of Surrealism Shakespeare. The meaning of it is our drama is one of true events based on the Shakespeare’s artwork. This event performed two dramas. The first one is Winter’s Tale by Evening Student. The second one is Macbeth by Morning Student. Both have their own interesting story. This drama is one of our final exam that tutored by Miss Ester Panjaitan.


At the beginning of the play, Macbeth is a brave and loyal Thane to King Duncan. After hearing a prophecy that he will become king himself, Macbeth is overcome by ambition and greed. Bolstered by the prophecy and his wife’s encouragement, he kills King Duncan and takes the throne. Afterward, Macbeth’s guild, fear, and paranoia lead him to commit even more murders to secure his power. His confidence in the prophecies eventually leads to his downfall and he is overthrown and killed by those he has wronged. Casts for this drama are Naufal Renaldi as King Duncan, Haidar Jaganegara as Macbeth, Larasati Aldila as Lady Macbeth and the as supporting Casts. The duration of this Drama takes about 2 hours. This drama has a message for the audience that “what’s done can’t be undone” means you should think before doing something, because when you’re done doing that, you can’t undo it.


The jealous King Leontes falsely accuse his wife Hermione of infidelity with his best friend, and she dies. Leontes exiles his newborn daughter Perdita, who is raised by shepherds of sixteen years and falls in love with the son of Leontes friend. When Perdita returns home, a statue of Hermione “comes to life”, and everyone is reconciled. Casts for this drama are Ade Rizal as King Leontes, Rizka Martiningsih as Perdita, Linda Eka as Hermione and the other as supporting Casts. The duration of this drama around 2 hours 15 minutes. This drama has a message that “Across time, against darkness, destiny finds a way” means everything has their own time to be happen.
