On Thursday, November 23rd 2023, the second day of PKM was held at Persada Husada Indonesia Vocational School. After explaining the importance of English communication skills in hospitality industry, the discussion continued with the theme of English Proficiency which aimed to introduce students to one of the tests, namely TOEIC.

The second day of PKM was led by Mrs. Esterria Romauli, SS., M.Pd. involving two speakers, Miss Winda Lutfiyanti , M.Pd. and Mr. Wawan Setiawan, S.Pd., MA. along with Mrs. Inta Masni Sinaga, SS., M.Hum. as moderator and two student representatives, Javiero Albana and Ceicilia Putri.

TOEIC is a test to measure English language proficiency. The question material on TOEIC relates to business or professional settings. The highest score is 990 for the listening and reading tests. These are some of the things discussed by Mr. Wawan as the first speaker with the title "Introduction to TOEIC and The Strategies". He also emphasized 8 strategies that students can apply in order to face the TOEIC test. Here are the strategies:
- Find out what proficiency level is required
- Understand the test
- Build a strong vocabulary
- Isolate your weak points
- Be aware of time management
- Listen quickly
- Read aloud
- Manage your stress

After that, Miss Winda presented the second session, which is TOEIC Practice. In this session, students are asked to work on curated question sheets within the specified time, 10 minutes for listening and 15 minutes for reading. After completing the work, Miss Winda discussed the questions with the students to find out the students' abilities in doing the TOEIC test. Out of 20 questions, a student named Vincent got 19 questions correct. He and his friends were then given a souvenir by STBA JIA for getting the highest score in TOEIC Practice.
